This is a public and free Jabber/XMPP server. Feel free to use it. We reserve the right to remove/ban accounts that abuse the service. We do not guarantee any service features or 100% availability.

If you experience issues when connecting (e.g. “This server does not serve jabber.cc”) you may have to explicitely specify the hostname to connect to:

xmpp.jabber.cc

As of 12/2016, the XMPP streams are protected by bi-monthly renewed SSL/TLS certificates issued by Let’s Encrypt. Previously we used StartSSL certificates, but they seem to have issues and aren’t trusted by all browsers anymore, so we moved all of the certificate infrastructure to Let’s Encrypt. If you need to import the root certificates into your XMPP client you can find them at Let’s Encrypt’s page.
